One Nation One Election: Ever since the Central Government has talked about One Nation One Election, the discussions about constituting a committee for One Nation One Election in the country have intensified.

A committee has been constituted by the Central Government for One Nation One Election in the year 2023, under which election activities will be completed simultaneously in the entire country.

Benefits of holding simultaneous elections through One Nation One Election

Disadvantages of implementing One Nation One Election

• To implement One Country One Nation One Election, there will be a need to first amend the Constitution.
• Not only this, the issue of amendment under the provisions of The Representation of the People Act 1951 will also come to the fore.
• If One Nation One Election is implemented in the country, then at least 5 articles in the Constitution will have to be amended.
• By amending these 5 articles of the Indian Constitution, the very process of the Election Commission will change.
• This amendment will prove to be very beneficial for the common citizens but it will not be so beneficial for the political parties.

What amendment will be made in the Constitution for One Country One Election 2023

• To implement One Nation One Election, the Constitution will have to be amended, only then the One Nation One Election policy can be implemented.
• To implement the One Nation One Election policy, support of 16 assemblies will be required, only then this policy will be implemented in the entire country.
